de-ttach from the base. The base skirt and top is stretchy to fit most sizes. The skirt is approximately 44 inches wide with an elastic waist. The top is made of stretchy fabric.

The dress kits include sleeves, collars, bodice pieces, sashes, skirt tiers etc etc! What a blast!! Best gift ever.
